Perhaps the best way to decide whether your car is exotic or just expensive is to try to insure it. Premiums for a $210,000 2012 Audi R8 Spyder Quattro, for instance, average $3,384 a year, according to data gathered from six major insurers by Quadrant Information Services. That's for a 40-year-old with a clean record commuting 24 miles a day.

Insure.com: Alabama 2012 auto premiums average $1,345, 27th nationally
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Insure.com, said in a report released today that the average car insurance rate in Alabama in 2012 ranks 27th nationally among the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
The full state rankings are at insure.com. The Web site commissioned Quadrant Information Services to provide auto insurance rates for more than 900 car models from six large carriers (Allstate, Farmers, Geico, Nationwide, Progressive, and State Farm in 10 zip codes per state, then averaged for all vehicles in each state.

Nissan Frontier King Cab Named “Least Expensive to Insure” by insure.com
FRANKLIN, Tenn., Feb. 27, 2012 It's a good thing that the Nissan Frontier pickup has a roomy cargo bed - the popular compact truck just keeps bringing home industry and media awards.
The latest recognition comes from Insure.com, which has named the 2012 Nissan Frontier S King Cab and Frontier SV King Cab models to its list of "Least Expensive Vehicles to Insure." The annual survey of more than 900 vehicles aims to help consumers in the market for a new vehicle identify the best vehicles to help keep their insurance payments low. Insure.com commissioned Quadrant Information Services to provide a report of average auto insurance rates. Rates were calculated using data for six large carriers (Allstate, Farmers, GEICO, Nationwide, Progressive and State Farm) in 10 ZIP codes per state.

Most and least expensive cars to insure – Forbes.com
Recently Forbes.com published an article using Quadrant’s data obtained to generate reports on most and least expensive cars to insure.
Forbes - Knee-buckling beauties like the 12-cylinder Mercedes SL65 AMG can set you back a national average of $3,543.81 per year in insurance costs alone, making it the most expensive car in America to insure, according to data from Quadrant Information Services commissioned by Insure.com. Overall, European brands including Mercedes, Porsche, Aston Martin and BMW are the most expensive to safeguard.

Amanda has experience in many positions that broadened her knowledge of the insurance industry. She has worked over 5 years in Customer Service, managing call center operations that averaged over 1500 calls a day with a staff of 15-25 employees.
She also worked for 4 years as a Product assistant filing rate revisions, updating manuals, underwriting procedures, creating forms, policy booklets and much more. Her experience also includes working as Underwriting Quality Control/Training Manager for 3 years, as well as training Underwriting and Customer Service employees on company operating systems, OnBase paperless system, Guidelines and processing procedures for business.

Byron W. Smith Joins Quadrant Research and Development Team
